LogisValley Group's HTNS Accelerates Expansion into Indonesian Logistics Market

HTNS, a subsidiary of LogisValley Group, announced that it is accelerating its expansion into the Indonesian logistics market. Having established its Jakarta entity in 2024, HTNS aims to leverage its local ocean and inland freight forwarding, warehouse operations, and trading-linked services to fuel the global growth of K-Culture, including K-beauty and K-fashion.
With a population of 280 million, Indonesia ranks as the world's fourth most populous nation and holds the largest domestic consumer market in Southeast Asia. Indonesia's economy grew 5.03% in 2024, marking three consecutive years of 5%+ growth. As the post-pandemic economic slowdown in China and escalating trade tensions drive a global supply chain realignment, Indonesia is rapidly emerging as the 'Next China.'
Comprising 17,500 islands and stretching 5,000 km from east to west, Indonesia's geography has historically posed logistics efficiency challenges. However, the market is transforming rapidly, driven by national logistics network upgrades, digitization, port modernization, and the capital relocation initiative (Nusantara Project). Indonesia also boasts the largest e-commerce market size and highest growth rate in Southeast Asia. With sustained growth in port and airport cargo volumes alongside planned mega-infrastructure initiatives, the country is set for steep logistics market expansion. In particular, as production hubs and consumer markets decentralize beyond Jakarta, demand for ocean-inland multimodal transport is surging, while last-mile and cold-chain logistics are projected to grow rapidly in tandem with e-commerce expansion.
An HTNS representative stated, "Indonesia is one of the most dynamic logistics markets in Southeast Asia, where market opportunities will continuously expand over the next 5 to 10 years."
Within this high-growth market, HTNS is focusing on the rapid rise of the beauty and healthcare sector. Recognizing the potential of the cosmetics industry, HTNS has been laying the groundwork for import and distribution operations since 2024. Having secured government regulatory permits and established warehousing infrastructure, the company plans to launch online and offline B2B and B2C distribution centered on Korean cosmetics in the second half of the year.
An HTNS official emphasized, "With steady demand for Korean cosmetics and active online beauty consumption among young demographics, cosmetics import and distribution is a strategic area we intend to expand, delivering HTNS's specialized service capabilities."
In parallel, HTNS plans to strategically strengthen its e-commerce express delivery, ocean-inland multimodal transport, and warehouse-based logistics services. By integrating with e-commerce platforms and collaborating with specialized beauty retailers, HTNS aims to rapidly build brand awareness across the market.
To enhance competitiveness in the expanding Indonesian market, HTNS Indonesia unveiled its Indonesia Logistics Development Roadmap (2025–2035), structured across three phases: Logistics System Enhancement, ASEAN Logistics Network Integration, and Global Logistics Network Integration. Through this framework, the local entity will align with HTNS’s global network to serve as a strategic hub for ASEAN and worldwide logistics operations.
An HTNS representative added, "By expanding specialized logistics lines tailored to Indonesia—including garment logistics, K-Culture & entertainment logistics, K-Beauty logistics, K-Food & cold-chain logistics, EPC/project logistics, and chemical logistics—we aim to open new growth possibilities for Korean companies entering the Indonesian market."
