LogisValley Signs Implementation Agreement for Global Distribution Center (GDC) in Incheon Airport's 2nd Airport Logistics Park

In the second half of 2026, a new Global Distribution Center (GDC) capable of generating approximately 400,000 tons of new cargo volume will be established on Site 2A2 in Incheon Airport's 2nd Airport Logistics Park.

Incheon International Airport Corporation (President Lee Hak-jae) announced that on the 4th, it signed an "Implementation Agreement on the Implementation of the New Global Distribution Center Project in Incheon Airport's 2nd Airport Logistics Park" with LogisValley Incheon Airport GDC Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Phillip, hereinafter "LogisValley") at the corporation's conference room.

LogisValley Incheon Airport GDC Co., Ltd. is a joint venture company established through joint investment by global integrated logistics company HTNS Co., Ltd. and smart logistics platform specialized company LogisValley Co., Ltd.

Through this implementation agreement, LogisValley plans to invest approximately 73 billion KRW to construct and operate a 4-story above-ground Global Distribution Center with a gross floor area of 53,852.5 m² on Site 2A2 (site area of 19,707.5 m²) in Incheon Airport's 2nd Airport Logistics Park.

A Global Distribution Center (GDC) is a logistics facility necessary to bring in and store foreign goods expected to be ordered by customers into South Korea, and then re-export the corresponding goods when ordered by overseas customers—a facility whose importance is growing daily due to the recent increase in cross-border e-commerce scale.

LogisValley's Global Distribution Center, newly established through this implementation agreement, is scheduled to begin operation in 2027. In addition to the Global Distribution Center facility equipped with advanced automated equipment, it is expected to create approximately 400,000 tons of new annual cargo volume (based on 2040 estimates) by equipping smart logistics infrastructure capable of handling high-value-added new-growth cargo, such as: △Global Fulfillment Center (integrated management of product storage, packaging, and shipping processes), and △Sea & Air intermodal transport facilities

The newly established robotic Global Distribution Center (GDC) will build a Hyper-Connected Logistics Platform by linking technologies such as IoT, AI, Big Data, and Blockchain based on 'LV ONE', a global integrated logistics system, to support fast and accurate air cargo processing while enhancing competitiveness by responding to various customer requirements. In addition, it plans to introduce a large number of transport robots such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), and unmanned forklifts, as well as robots that locate, sort, pick, pack, and ship products.

This is expected to serve as an opportunity to elevate the status of Incheon International Airport, a hub airport representing Northeast Asia ranked 2nd in the world in international cargo processing, and serve as an exemplary model for innovation in the smart air cargo center development market in line with the global trend of logistics center modernization.

Incheon International Airport Corporation President Lee Hak-jae stated, "The newly attracted Global Distribution Center is equipped with various new-growth cargo handling facilities, which is expected to be a great help in strengthening Incheon Airport's future logistics infrastructure competitiveness." LogisValley CEO Kim Phillip said, "Incheon Airport GDC is the first core infrastructure serving as a new cornerstone for an air logistics fulfillment center, and we aim to lead the logistics industry by systematizing and automating the entire air logistics process to create a logistics service standard capable of smoothly handling various import and export products of shippers using air cargo."

Meanwhile, the Corporation presented four major strategies for air cargo at Incheon Airport in 2024: △Development of leading infrastructure to leap forward as regional logistics hubs, △Expansion of global express cargo infrastructure to expand new growth demandStrengthening of air cargo networks, △Full-scale pursuit of smart cargo terminal development. It plans to continuously strengthen its competitiveness as a global logistics hub airport by actively responding to rapidly changing global logistics market shifts.

Meanwhile, the agreement signing ceremony on this day was attended by Incheon International Airport Corporation President Lee Hak-jae, Future Business Division Director Kim Chang-gyu, LogisValley CEO Kim Phillip, HTNS Executive Managing Director Kang Min-soo, and officials from both companies.
