Yangju City Visits LogisValley Icheon Logistics Hub Center

Mayor Kang Soo-hyun of Yangju City visited the 'LogisValley Icheon Gobaek-ri Logistics Center' in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province on the 25th of last month to inspect its state-of-the-art infrastructure and exchange views on the successful development of Yangju's Eunnam General Industrial Complex.

During the visit, Yangju City and LogisValley reviewed the overall operation, including each stage of the logistics process, and reaffirmed their commitment to attracting investment to the Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex. They also discussed ways to build a firm working relationship.

LogisValley Co., Ltd., the anchor prospective tenant for the Eunnam General Industrial Complex, currently operates approximately 100 logistics centers in Korea and abroad across various business sectors, including logistics hub development, operations, and global network expansion. The LogisValley Logistics Hub Center features fast and efficient fulfillment processes powered by advanced automation technologies, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), and robotic arm depalletizers. Spanning a total gross floor area of approximately 30,000 py (approx. 99,000 m²) across four floors—equivalent to 15 soccer fields—the Gobaek-ri Fulfillment Logistics Hub Center serves as a primary supply node for e-commerce daily necessities and fashion apparel in the southern metropolitan area, employing around 800 full-time workers.

Visiting the facility, Yangju Mayor Kang Soo-hyun stated, "We will strengthen administrative support to ensure LogisValley and its corporate partners can move into the Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex in a timely manner. We will concentrate our administrative resources to maximize synergy between corporate investment, facility expansion, and local job creation." He emphasized, "Yangju City needs corporate investment and quality employment for our citizens now more than ever. We will do our utmost to expand jobs by attracting premier enterprises like LogisValley and build a prosperous city through regional economic revitalization."

The representative of LogisValley replied, "We hold high expectations for the future value of Yangju City as a cornerstone of northern Gyeonggi Province. Having signed an investment MOU with the city, LogisValley will actively collaborate as a growth partner to establish operations in the Eunnam General Industrial Complex as swiftly as possible." He added, "Once LogisValley is established in the Eunnam Industrial Complex, it will create jobs for over 2,000 local residents while stimulating the local economy through the entry of partner vendors and global investors. By developing this site into a core logistics hub in northern Gyeonggi and transferring operations from southern facilities, we expect to streamline import and export logistics, reduce operational costs, professionalize logistics personnel, and enhance quality control and service levels. Based on these foundations, we will continuously upgrade our logistics infrastructure to build flexible, highly responsive processes."

Meanwhile, the Eunnam General Industrial Complex spans 992,000 m² in Eunhyeon-myeon, Yangju City. Located adjacent to the Gwangjeok IC on the Capital Region Second Ring Expressway, the industrial park is scheduled for completion in 2027.
