LogisValley Opens Next-Generation Intelligent Incheon Airport GDC in Partnership with LG Electronics Production Engineering Research Institute

LogisValley Incheon Airport GDC Co., Ltd. announced that it will officially open its state-of-the-art Global Distribution Center (GDC) in June at the Incheon International Airport Logistics Complex 2 (Site 2A2), initiating a full-scale push into the global air freight market. Representing a total investment of 100 billion KRW, the center aims to process 400,000 tons of cargo annually by 2040, equivalent to 10% of Incheon Airport's total cargo volume.

Spanning four stories above ground with a total floor area of 53,698 m² (16,244 py), the newly established LogisValley Incheon Airport GDC is engineered to generate significant operational synergies. It integrates LogisValley's proprietary global network—targeting 100 locations across 50 countries by 2030—with the specialized freight forwarding capabilities of group logistics affiliate HTNS and Incheon International Airport's air cargo infrastructure (ranked 2nd globally in international freight volume in 2022). In particular, by expanding collaboration with HTNS hubs located at major international gateway airports—including Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Chennai, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Dallas—LogisValley plans to establish the facility as a premier global air logistics hub spanning Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.

A key highlight of the GDC is its position as a next-generation intelligent logistics center, developed through a strategic smart warehouse agreement with LG Electronics to deploy top-tier automated operations. This collaboration unites the smart factory capabilities of LG Electronics Production Engineering Research Institute (led by President Dae Hwa Jung)—including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Digital Twin technology—with LogisValley’s expertise in facility design, construction, and logistics operations. LG Electronics’ smart factory suite encompasses industrial robotics, digital twin-based system design and monitoring, and big data / generative AI-driven process, safety, and quality management. Applying these technologies to logistics is expected to drive powerful synergies where speed, efficiency, and accuracy are paramount.

Alongside the GDC opening, LogisValley will newly launch its K-Global Pass service in June. This specialized solution is tailored to support domestic small and medium-sized sellers seeking to export K-culture products, including cosmetics, merchandise, apparel, and fashion items. K-Global Pass provides a comprehensive one-stop service, handling complex local sales certifications and permits—often the highest barrier to entry for small businesses—alongside LogisValley’s core strengths in international transport, customs clearance, and end-to-end domestic and overseas fulfillment.

The company presented a long-term roadmap to scale its annual cargo handling volume from 32,000 tons (1% of Incheon Airport's total volume) in 2022 to 170,000 tons (5%) by 2030, 400,000 tons (10%) by 2040, and ultimately 1 million tons by 2050—representing 20% of Incheon Airport's projected 10-million-ton total volume. By capturing market share in transshipment cargo connecting Japan and China with the Americas and Europe, as well as B2B global e-commerce freight, LogisValley is positioning itself to become a premier global air logistics leader.
