LogisValley to Construct 430,000 m² ‘Northern Seoul Metropolitan Area Hub Center’

LogisValley, Korea's largest integrated logistics platform company, announced that it signed an investment and occupancy agreement with Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, on July 22 for the Eunnam General Industrial Complex. The signing ceremony was attended by Yangju Mayor Deokyoung Jung, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) President Yongjin Kim, LogisValley CEO Kim Phillip, LG Electronics Production Engineering Research Institute President Daehwa Jung, and LG Electronics Robotics Business Center Head Siyong Song.

With this agreement, the development of the Eunnam Industrial Complex—which has been underway since December 17, 2019, to foster economic growth in Northern Gyeonggi Province and Yangju City—has finally come to fruition. Adjacent to the West Yangju IC, the Eunnam General Industrial Complex spans 992,000 square meters across Doha-ri, Eunhyeon-myeon, and Sangsu-ri, Nam-myeon in Yangju.

LogisValley plans to invest 1 trillion KRW to build the 'Northern Seoul Metropolitan Area Hub Center'—a 4-story facility with a total floor area of 440,210 square meters (approx. 130,000 py) on a 169,700 sqm site within the complex. Aiming to break ground in 2027 and complete construction in 2030, the project represents a total investment of 1 trillion KRW (800 billion KRW for construction, 200 billion KRW for equipment) and is expected to create 5,000 jobs.

LogisValley clearly defined the Yangju Eunnam project not as a simple warehouse development, but as a strategic initiative to establish a 'Next-Generation Logistics System' and a 'Northern Seoul Metropolitan Logistics Platform.' The vision is to position the center as a high-value creation hub capturing the flow of all industrial, import, and export cargo.

In particular, leveraging its subsidiary LogisValley BnF (LV BnF)—which operates an integrated platform encompassing planning, logistics/distribution, and marketing for lifestyle logistics (e-commerce), K-beauty/culture, and lifestyle brands—LogisValley plans to introduce differentiated, future-ready logistics and retail concepts to the Yangju Eunnam Industrial Complex.

LogisValley has also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LG Electronics to establish intelligent logistics centers, driving robotics and AI-based smart logistics innovation. Under this partnership, LogisValley plans to build a state-of-the-art intelligent logistics system powered by robotics solutions that consolidate LG Group's latest Physical AI capabilities. The collaboration centers on leveraging Physical AI robotics solutions to advance logistics automation and maximize operational efficiency and productivity. This technological alliance is expected to enhance the competitiveness of the advanced facility in the Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex and contribute significantly to building an ecosystem for AI and robotics-based logistics industries.

Yangju Mayor Deok Young Jung stated, "By establishing a smart logistics center within the Yangju Eunnam Industrial Complex, we will position Yangju as a central hub for the northern Seoul metropolitan area and an industrial city focused on AI, logistics, robotics, data centers, and energy." He added, "I am confident that developing this facility as a logistics support hub for regional import and export businesses will secure future growth engines, driving local economic growth, job creation, and collaborative development."
