LogisValley Expanding Logistics Through 'Fast Delivery'

As the last-mile delivery market grows rapidly due to the recent COVID-19 situation, attention is drawn as LogisValley, a specialized logistics enterprise, announced that it will introduce fast delivery in September based on its own logistics centers, vehicles, and specialized personnel.

The fast delivery introduced this time is a service where customers can receive same-day delivery three times a day for same-day orders, based on multiple logistics centers in the metropolitan area held by LogisValley. To this end, considering metropolitan area accessibility and delivery speed, LogisValley initially prepared 450 1-ton delivery vehicles and established delivery stability through direct contracts with delivery drivers. A LogisValley official explained the reason for introducing the fast delivery service, stating, "LogisValley is a company that possesses specialized companies in each logistics-related field, such as logistics center development, fulfillment, and cargo transportation, and we came to introduce fast delivery to provide shippers and customers with the best professional last-mile service by utilizing the infrastructure held by LogisValley."

For Fast Delivery, LogisValley provides not just vehicles but the IT systems, logistics centers and specialist staff needed behind the scenes. It is developing OMS, WMS and TMS tailored to its own systems. For TMS in particular — the heart of fast delivery — it says it is building a next-generation system with a specialist firm experienced across many projects, with features including reduced delivery times, more efficient fleet operations, accurate estimated delivery notifications for customers and photo confirmation after delivery. A LogisValley representative said, "Based on splitting the 24-hour day into three delivery runs, we plan to provide every system needed from order to delivery — OMS, WMS, WCS and TMS — for our customers' convenience." The logistics centers needed for Fast Delivery are already secured, with more to come. LogisValley plans to use some 30 of its logistics centers in Korea and overseas as dispatch points for Fast Delivery. Centers developed in future will also serve as dedicated fulfillment centers as well as holding stock for Fast Delivery. With staff experienced in startups and last-mile delivery, the company expects to offer competitive rates and delivery service. Delivered through these IT systems, logistics centers and specialist staff, Fast Delivery will launch first in the greater Seoul area, where LogisValley says consumers can receive goods as quickly as three hours after ordering and within six hours of the vehicle's departure at the latest.

LogisValley expects to achieve a win-win with consumers as well as shippers through fast delivery. Shippers can deliver products to customers 3 times a day for orders at a competitive cost, thereby offering customers a service that encompasses everything from standard courier delivery to early-morning delivery. A LogisValley official explained, "LogisValley's fast delivery not only contributes to increasing revenue for shippers, but can also provide customers with an experience of a delivery service faster than standard courier delivery." LogisValley's fast delivery service is designed so that 24 hours a day is divided into 8-hour units, with the 1st dispatch at 14:00, the 2nd dispatch at 22:00, and the 3rd dispatch at 09:00, and it includes delivery through fixed drivers even for holiday delivery.

LogisValley's fast delivery plans to start by servicing home shopping cargo volumes to select areas in Seoul in September and expand the service network nationwide by 2023. By 2021, the goal is to provide service across the entire metropolitan area, expanding to the Chungcheong region in 2022. Afterwards, the goal is to provide LogisValley's fast delivery service nationwide by 2023. A LogisValley official explained, "LogisValley will make efforts to establish fast delivery as a delivery service that satisfies both customers and shippers through our accumulated logistics center development experience and logistics-specialized affiliates in each field," adding, "We plan to competitively provide all logistics-related services including inventory storage, packaging, and product dispatch as well as fast delivery." He continued, "LogisValley will strive to be reborn as the best and one-and-only company in the logistics industry through continuous investment and innovation toward the future in step with the massive wave of change called the 4th Industrial Revolution."

Meanwhile, LogisValley is a specialized logistics center brand created in 2017 with Sunkyung E&C at the forefront and participation from specialized logistics enterprises in each field; it is a company possessing specialized capabilities encompassing the entire process from logistics center development to design, construction, logistics equipment, automation systems, and logistics operation. It holds approximately 30 domestic and overseas hubs, including LogisValley Ansan, which was completed in June 2019.
